Privacy Policy
The short version: your files are never uploaded anywhere. Everything PDFConvert does happens inside your own browser tab, on your own device. This page explains exactly what that means and what little data, if any, is involved.
Your files never leave your device
When you choose or drop a PDF into PDFConvert, it's read directly by JavaScript running in your browser. The conversion — to plain text, Word, or Excel — happens locally, and the resulting file is generated and saved to your device the same way. At no point is the content of your PDF, or the file itself, sent to a server, stored in a database, or transmitted anywhere. We don't have a file upload endpoint, because the tool doesn't need one to work.
You can verify this yourself: load this page, then disconnect from the internet before converting a file. It will still work, because nothing about the conversion depends on a network connection.
What we don't collect
- We don't require an account, so we don't collect names, emails, or passwords to use the converter.
- We don't store your PDFs, your converted files, or any content from them, anywhere — not temporarily, not for debugging, not at all.
- We don't use cookies or local storage to track you or your files.
- We don't run analytics or advertising scripts on this site.
What does happen behind the scenes
This page loads the "Inter" typeface from Google Fonts, which involves your browser making a request to Google's servers for the font file — that request can include your IP address, the same way any web request does, but it doesn't include anything about your PDF or its contents. Standard web hosting also typically logs basic request metadata (like IP address and timestamp) for the pages you visit, purely for operating the site — this is unrelated to anything you convert.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the PDF conversion tool itself. If a future version of this site adds features that do involve a server (for example, an account system), this policy will be updated first, and that behavior won't be silently introduced.
